Sleep is important for us to be our best. I specialize in sleep medicine because it is such a core part of who we are. Sleep allows the body and brain to rest and reset so we can meet each new day fresh and focused.
If you are having trouble with your sleep, talk with your primary care provider. Together you can form a plan for better sleep. In some cases, your provider may wish to refer you to me, as part of that plan. Our staff will have you complete the New Patient Secure Online Google Form below. Once we get that back they will schedule your appointment.
I will see you in clinic and we will put together a plan for how to improve your sleep. We can also talk about what to expect from any further testing or treatment as we go along. Seeing the life changing effects of improved sleep is amazing! It really can benefit your whole mind and body.
To make an appointment with Dr. Anderson, ask your primary care provider for a referral. Then click the green button below to fill out a secure online form. If you would rather fill out a paper form, click the New Patient Paperwork Download (white button) below. Mail or drop it off when done.
Most people know that adults should aim for enough sleep. Newer research suggests that regularity also matters. In a large wearable-device study of over 60,000 adults, a consistent sleep-wake schedule was linked with better long-term health outcomes, even when researchers accounted for sleep duration and other health factors. This supports a practical goal for everyday life: protect both your sleep time and your sleep rhythm. Try to wake up around the same time each day, get morning light, and avoid large swings in bedtime from weekdays to weekends. Reference: Windred DP, Burns AC, Lane JM, et al.
